You’ve spent enough time planning your wedding, you shouldn’t have to spend the whole day posing for it too!
I take a documentary style approach to wedding photography. Capturing your day as it naturally happens., blending into the background and photographing all the moments you might otherwise miss.
My goal is for you to have an amazing day and barely notice I’m there. The photographs should simply be the lovely reminder of everything that happened.
Family life isn't perfectly posed, so your photographs don't need to be either.
Lifestyle & Family Sessions
I don't want your family session to feel like something you have to perform for, that's why I photograph families either in the comfort of their own home or outdoors.
I'll use gentle prompts to encourage natural moments rather than putting you into stiff poses. Children can run, play, explore and be their wonderfully unpredictable selves.
There might be a bit of chaos and probably a few moments where nobody looks at the camera but honestly, that's exactly when the best photos happen.

Hi, I'm Sophie
As a wife and mum myself, I know just how quickly life changes. The moments you think you'll remember forever somehow become the moments you wish you could go back to, and that's a huge part of why I love what I do.
I've been working in the photography industry for over six years now and I genuinely don't think I'll ever stop loving it! Somehow I still get the same excitement from picking up my camera as I did when I first started.
Of course, taking a good photograph matters. But I think there's something just as important that not every photographer has.... knowing how to read a room and anticipating a moment before it actually happens. I know when to step forward and capture something important and when to hang back and let the moment happen naturally. It's how I can photograph your wedding or family without making everything feel like a photoshoot.
I think when you genuinely love what you do, it shows and I hope you can see that in my photographs.
