Documentary-Style Family Photography in Buxton

This family session was particularly special to me as it was my first booking after returning to work following the birth of my own little boy. It felt so lovely to be back behind the camera, especially photographing such a warm and loving family in the comfort of their own home.

The love and connection between this family was so wholesome to see. Rather than focusing on stiff poses, we kept the session playful and relaxed. I used simple prompts to encourage them to interact, play and enjoy being together which naturally brought out the genuine smiles and true moments of connection.

I always want family photography to feel like a reflection of your family rather than a photoshoot you have to perform for. The result was a collection of natural photographs that capture the fun, love and connection they shared together that day.
