Love & a little chaos

An Intimate Couples Shoot in Goyt Valley, Buxton

I recently had the pleasure of photographing this lovely couple during an intimate couples shoot in Goyt Valley, Buxton. They brought along their gorgeous black spaniel and had sent over some inspiration photos beforehand, which were full of natural, relaxed photos rather than traditional posing, something that fits perfectly with my style of photography!

Instead of spending the session asking them to pose, I used prompts and little activities to encourage natural interactions between them. We explored Goyt Valley together, taking in the beautiful Peak District scenery, running around and of course, trying to keep up with their slightly chaotic but very lovable dog!

I absolutely love sessions like this because they don't need to feel like a photoshoot. It's about having fun together and enjoying the surroundings whilst I capture the little moments that happen naturally along the way.

It was such a fun afternoon and a perfect example of why I love couples photography in the Peak District. Beautiful scenery, genuine connection and a dog who definitely has his own ideas about how the shoot should go!

Absolute perfection!
